I was appointed the Head of Service for 111 in North West Ambulance Service in September 2018.
I started in the NHS in 1990 as a physiotherapist and over the next 31 years the NHS has supported me through a very unique career path. Specialising in Neuro-paediatrics I ran the motion analysis lab at Sheffield Children’s hospital, then retrained as a paramedic. I grew frustrated only taking patients to ED, so went on secondment to the PCT, which lead to U&E Care commissioning then back into the ambulance service.
I lead the 111 First project in NWAS and was lead for workforce across the North West.
